in my grade 11 biology class, we are studying human transportation systems. Is this a true or false question? - in humans, blood vessels are organized into three primary cycles.?
Yes, that would be true.
There is (1) the pulmonary cycle of blood, which goes to and from your lungs, (2) systemic circulation, which would be blood flowing to and from your body, and (3) coronary circulation, which moves blood to and from the coronary vessels of your heart to provide oxygen to the heart muscles. Is this a true or false question? - in humans, blood vessels are organized into three primary cycles.?
I wouldn't say ';cycles';. Blood vessels are loosely divided into types. Arteries generally carry oxygenated blood away from the heart, veins return deoxyentated blood to the heart, and capillaries are thinwalled vessels which come into contact with cells and allow materials to diffuse in/out of blood.
TRUE:
The first cycle is the pulmonary cycle (heart to lungs) - this oxygenates the blood.
The second cycle is where the blood is circulated to the body - this used the oxygen in the blood.
The third cycle is where the blood goes through the kidneys and is filtered.
I would say false...
There is the pulmonary circulation between heart and lungs and then there is systemic circulation between heart and all tissues.
