False... yet why would Bilbo and Gandalf want to kill him anyway? The book the hobbit, i need help with a true.false question.?
Dragon myth states that it will never give up even the smallest gold ring, even if you replace it with barrels of gold it will hunt you down and kill you and retrieve its ring. and kill your family and friends.

to make it true? the dragon added more gold from other places and peoples to increase the amount so that it is more than the deaves ever mined.
False he laid on it as a bed because gold is the softest metal for a dragon to lay on what's why they raided the dwarves.
Its false, to make it true i think you would have to rewrite the book.
False, but i don't remember how to make it true.
false. he just lays on the pile of treasure all day.
false, he doesn't use any of it

Physics true or false question?

The chemical properties of a neutral atom are completely determined by the number of protons in the nucleus... True or False?Physics true or false question?
False, you must condsider neutrons and electrons in chemistry and even more in quantum mechanics. Chemical properties are NOT neutral just because electrons match protons. Lithium can have 3 protons and 3 neutrons and is very reactive. Valence electrons play more of a role in reactivity. But simply, false. Radioactive elements can be neutral but vary a great deal based on the number of neutrons. The number of protons determines the nature/name of the element but not all of it's chemical properties.Physics true or false question?
False, the number of protons must be equal to the number of electrons in order for it to have a neutral charge.

Does reporting a question that meets the terms of service ever get people a violation for false reporting?

I rarely report anything, but it seems like more and more I get violations for things that are not.Does reporting a question that meets the terms of service ever get people a violation for false reporting?
Yup, there are certain people here who just report anything, however innocent. These are called Trolls and they may even stalk a certain person. The lowest of the low.Does reporting a question that meets the terms of service ever get people a violation for false reporting?
If a person reports something that gets overturned through an appeal, it counts against their reporting ability. If they do that enough, their report won't be taken seriously.

    Matt
There was something on the site at one point (in a YA blog, I think), that said if a person reports unnecessarily repeatedly, that the account might be flagged %26amp; watched and possibly terminated. Don't know if that has ever actually happened, though.
if a person reports a violation that isn't, that person is deemed as not a good reporter..

No penalty like Points taken away (but the appealer gets another 10 if appeal denied), suspended account, canceled account.

Just because the question or answer you reported wasn't removed right away does not mean you're not trusted. Trust scores are always in flux, so you're not either “trusted” or “not trusted”--they are not mutually exclusive. Whether or not a question or answer is removed right away when you report it depends on many metrics, including your trust score, the trust score of others who may have reported it, and the trust score of the poster. It also depends on whether the report is being sent to the customer care team or the community moderation system.

True: Velocity is a vector so you can have negative numbers as well..therefore you could have an average of zero velocity but speed is not a vector so even if you are driving backwards, and that would make the velocity negative because the direction is reversed, you still are going in reverse at a certain speed so your speed would not be zero.

True. If you were to travel 100 miles away from home at 55 mph, and travel back home at 55 mph your average speed would be 55 mph but your average velocity would be 0 since the vectors in each direction cancel each other out for velocity.

    Optics True or False question?

    True or False? Why?

A cloud casts a shadow on the ground. If you could measure the actual size of the cloud and the size of the shadow you would find the size of the shadow to be considerably larger than the size of the cloud, especially if the cloud is at a high altitude.Optics True or False question?
    the correct answer is:

    sort of:

If it's a very, very sunny day, and the cloud is illumunated by the sun overhead, then the shadow is every-so-slightly larger, but pretty much the same size.

It gets a bit bigger if the sun is at an angle.

If it's a day when light is dispersed by clouds above, the cloud will have a partial shadow that is much, much larger, but a total shadow that is small or nonexistant. I define a partial shadow as a spot of ground that gets some of the light, but not all. Full shadow, means all the overhead light is blocked.Optics True or False question?
The source of light is far away, so the rays can be assumed to be parallel. Now you have to consider temperature/density/humidity/size of the cloud/highth of the cloud/curvature of the earth/ /index of refraction of the atmosphere above and below the cloud. All things being negligible, should be the same size
    True.

Point a lamp towards a wall. Place your hand in front of the lamp, and move it closer and further away from it. Notice the change in the size of the shadow.

(Imagine some lines between the light source, and your hand, and follow them each to the wall. It should become evident)
In the morning or evening or anytime in winter, sure it's possible due to the perspective, in the same way that it's easy for your shadow to be much taller than you. With the sun directly overhead, the difference would be minimal; the shadow area would technically be larger that the cloud's horizontal cross-sectional area, but I wouldn't say ';considerably';. The distance from the sun to the Earth is so much greater than the distance from the cloud to the ground that the sun's rays at opposite ends of the cloud are very close to parallel.
I'm not sure about considerably larger but it should be slightly larger. The closer an object is to a light source, the more light it blocks. Consider though that a cloud, even at a high altitude, is not much closer to the sun than the Earth's surface when you consider the total distance of the earth's surface to the sun. it would only be a tiny fraction of a percent closer to the sun than the surface.

    I'd have to say False

Question about false positive pregnancy tests?

I took a hpt and got a negative. Over a week later I took another and got a positive result. Then, I went to the doctor and got a positive result. Is it possible to get a positive result at the doctors office and it really be a negative. I am worried that it is actually negative and the test was wrong. All answers are appreciated.Question about false positive pregnancy tests?
Ok.....I've mentioned this several times before and I am going to again....... make sure you get a blood test at the doctors office. That is the one and only sure-fire way to find out if you're pregnant. I've had a false negative AND a false positive at different times in my life, so I will never trust those home tests again.

To Jennifer M (and anyone else who doesn't believe in false positive tests)..... I did indeed have a false positive once and I did not and do not have a rare medical condition at all. I am considered normal to doctors.Question about false positive pregnancy tests?
there is a small chance of a false + but a much higher chance of false -

    So Congrats!

The chance of 2 false +'s is like slim to none!
I think anything is possible. I always thought people were lying when they said they had a false positive pregnancy test, having had 3 children, until it happened to me. I took a pregnancy test a couple months ago and it was faintly positive, there were two in the box, so I took the next one first thing the next morning, it was definitely positive. I told my husband and a few hours later I started spotting, I thought no big deal it has happened in all my pregnancy's. The next day I started bleeding really bad so I went to the hospital and they checked me out and I sat there for hours crying about losing my baby, the doctor eventually came back and told me my blood test came back with 000 hormone levels. So I was never pregnant to begin with. I called the company that the test was from and I sent back the test and I'm getting my money back. It was a horrible experience. Anyways I think the only way to know for positive sure is to have the blood test done and if that says positive than your probably pregnant.
    congrats, you're pregnant!!
No, it detects hcg in your urine. You probably got a negative before because you took the test when your hcg levels were low. Congratulations are most likely in order. Especially if the doctors did a blood test then you are definitly preganant. Blood test detect hcg in your blood. Good luck with your pregnancy.
I would have to agree with the other answers. congrats
False positive only happen with a rare medical condition and every single test comes back positive each time. With a normal person positive is positive, no questions asked. The reason you got a negative the first time was due to it being to early to test or you did the test wrong.

By the way a doctor can confirm a pregnancy by doing a physical exam where he looks at the cervix.
You can get a false negative, but not a false positive. If you had a positive result twice, then you are pregnant. Did they do blood work? If the blood test came back positive, there is no doubt that you are pregnant. These tests show the amount of HcG in your blood, or urine. If the hormone isn't present, or is small quantity, then you will get a negative result. Once your HcG has reached a certain level, it will always show positive. A blood test is more sensitive and will show smaller amounts then the urine tests, but most doctors now will take a positive HPT as accurate. That's even what we use in the office. They are now over 99% accurate.

More then likely, you either ovulated later then you thought, or the first time you took the test, the levels weren't high enough to show.

Also, a test won't show that hormone unless you are pregnant. It's the human growth hormone that is only present when you are pregnant. I think congradulations is in order!!!

If you don't feel pregnant, don't worry, a lot of women don't at first. Some don't have symptoms, other then a missed period to clue them in. Usually morning sickness doesn't start right away, and other then normal period symptoms (tender breasts, moodiness) there really is no way to tell. You won't be showing yet, and there is no movement you can feel, so it's hard for most women to believe they are pregnant. It's a normal reaction. Don't feel bad, or feel like you should have known. Most women don't.

Treat yourself like you are, start on the pregnancy diet. If you don't know what that is, get and read ';What to expect when you're expecting';. It's the pregnancy bible to us. Treat yourself like you are pregnant and stop any behaviors could effect pregnancy like drug use, smoking, drinking alcohol, or any other behaviors you feel are wrong, or could be a problem later. If you haven't made your first pre-natal apt, call and make it. Good medical care now could mean the difference in a good pregnancy or a bad one. Good luck and congrats!!!!
No such thing as a false positive. You are pregnant!
If the doctor's test came back positive...it is positive. Sometimes when you take the hpt your hormone levels aren't high enough, yet to be read. Most likely that is why that happened to you.
The SAME thing happened with me. I took it and was negative, then randomly took it a week later and it was positive, and so was my blood test. The first one just means that you were too early for the hpt to pick up your hCG horomones!!

    Congrats!!!!

True or false question- horses are rarely born bad but there are horses that are born crazy.?

Horses (or any animal for that matter) are NEVER born 'bad' - people, events and circumstances make them that way.

For the second part, it depends what you mean by 'crazy' - horses (and other animals) can have mental problems as a result of birth defects, inbreeding etc. and this causes problems in the way that they are ';wired up'; if you will. This is a physical thing, horses aren't born crazy in the sense that they are just plain daft.

All have their own personalities, based on their nature, temprament, uprbinging and the circumstances and events that they have experienced. Some are highly strung, others laid back. It depends!True or false question- horses are rarely born bad but there are horses that are born crazy.?
may be trueTrue or false question- horses are rarely born bad but there are horses that are born crazy.?
YES THEY CAN this happens rarely but there are induvidual horses and animals with brain issues that go unnoticed. Tumors, underdevolptment, chemicals while pregnant, and even genetics can alter the shape and size of brain part and simulation or these parts. The thinking and reasoning part of the horse's brain is not as large as other parts such as those responsible for movement and hearing say. So if something does go wrong with shape, simluation, harmones, or tumors the horse can be 'crazy'. But we tend to think of 'crazy' more as a personality type. No horse's personality is 'crazy' rather it is hindered and limited due to his limitations due to his health. Think of that horse as disabled not 'crazy'. be awre that this happens far more in other animals than horses because genetics are aimed for a good personality with atheltic abilty. Meaning we unknowning encourage proper brain devolptment suitable to domestication. It is more common to have these 'disabled' animals in crosses whose brains are different. (arabs a general athletic suited breed with less focus on temperment is bred with a shire who's brain is far more designed for personality due to their need for submission and extreme size when bred together may have a great ir not so great. Both of the breeds brains are simulated and have more or less cells and electricity going to certain parts.) however purebreds that are bred by unskilled or born from parents with pre-disposed gentic defects in the brain that are unrecognized, and often though of as crazy or 'hot', the foal may inherit their brain function and distrubution of brain cells as this is ditermined by genetic and DNA.

in all horses can be 'crazy', but this is more referred to as a personality type. Rather the type of 'crazy' i believe you are talking about is due to brain health and disablity due to gentics, inherit, tumors, simulations, and natural brain make up. We do not do nearly enough studies on equine brains partially because of their size and the expense with the equitment involved as well as the wide array of breeds all with different brain and cell distrubution due to our domestication of them.

True or false: question about chemistry?

    true or false:

    1. All atoms of the same element are identical in mass.

    2. An electron configuration tells exactly where the electrons are.

    3. Atoms in the same group have similar properties.

    4. Very little of the mass of an atom is in the nucleus.True or false: question about chemistry?
    1. Clearly false. Isotopes of the same element have different masses.

    2. False. Electron configuration tells the energy levels of the electron not the physical location.

    3. For the most part this is true, like in group IA and the inert gases. But there is a high degree of variability with in the nitrogen family, for instance.

    4. Clearly false. Almost all of the mass of the atom is located in the nucleus where the massive protons and neutrons are located.

Now that we've told you the answers to simple questions (which you should have picked up in class), I hope you will be able to do some thinking on your own.

    ============= Follow up ==============

Touche. Or perhaps it's not a very good on-line class if it leaves you with questions like this. I've never thought that on-line classes were as effective as face-to-face instruction. Perhaps this keyboard-to-keyboard instruction is a mild improvement.

What you may read on-line or in a textbook is not always as simple as when you get to ask questions of an instructor where you can ask follow-up questions and where the teacher can, too.

For instance, you must have had some uncertainty about these questions, otherwise they wouldn't have shown up here. Clearly being told ';true'; or ';false'; isn't as useful as actually understanding the chemistry behind the question. So what is it that you don't understand about these topics?True or false: question about chemistry?
    1. False - there are isotopes of elements which have MORE or LESS neutrons than the element on the periodic table.

    2. I don't really clearly understand this question. If you are talking about where the electrons physically are in an atom, then no it's false because it is impossible to tell EXACTLY where electrons are in any atom. But, if you are talking about the electrons relative to where they are in molecular orbits, then the answer to this question is TRUE.

    3. True - elements sharing the same group have similar properties. Look at the halogens, alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, etc.

    4. False - the protons and neutrons are located in the nucleus and they are the atoms with the most mass. The electrons have smaller masses than both neutrons and protons.

True or false related rates question?

True or false: If the radius of a circle is expanding at a constant rate, then its circumference is increasing at a constant rate. Justify your answer.True or false related rates question?
    This is true.

    Proof:

    Let r represent the radius.

    Let t represent time.

Let let c represent the circumference.

    Let 螖 mean change.

Recall that the cirumference of a circle is given by 2*pi*r.

    Suppose the radius of a circle is expanding at a constant rate. Thus, 螖r/螖t = k, where k is some constant. 螖r/螖t = (final_r - initial_r)/螖t.

Consider the rate at which the circumference is changing, given by 螖c/螖t = (final_c - initial_c)/螖t (but remember c=2*pi*r)

    = (final_2*pi*r - initial_2*pi*r)/螖t = 2*pi*(final_r - initial_r)/螖t = 2*pi*螖r/螖t (But remember 螖r/螖t = k)

    = 2*pi*k

Now since 2 is a constant, pi is a constant, and k is a constant, then 2*pi*k is a constant, and we have 螖c/螖t = 2*pi*k. Therefore the circumference is increasing at a constant rate.//

Hope this helps you out!!True or false related rates question?
    2*pi*r=c

assume we add some length to r, we will call it x, then 2*pi(r+x)=2*pi*r+2*pi*x, so as you can see for any value for x, the circumference will increase by a rate of 2*pi of that number

so the answer is true, for every unit of length you add to the radius, the circumference will increase by 2*pi

    c=2*pi*r

dc/dr=2*pi, as you can see from the calculus aspect of this the change in circumference with respect to the raidus is a constant of 2*pi which verifies the result from above
    C = 2蟺(r)

    dC/dt = 2蟺(dr/dt)

Since dr/dt is constant, dC/dt is constant.

Yes, it will be increasing at a constant rate.
Yes because 2TTr is the formula for circumference so yes it would be increasing at a constant rate as well but only probably 1 1/2 times faster.

  • What is the best way to answer true/false questions in a test?

I have a midterm in my business law class next week that has all true and false questions for 12 different chapters. Please help! What is the best way to answer true/false questions in a test?
The best way would be to study the chapters beforehand so you know what is true and what is false. Good luck with that. What is the best way to answer true/false questions in a test?
    You have two choices...

1]Study all the material beforehand, and feel confident in your abilities. 50/50 chance, my friend.

    2] T, F, T, F, T, F, T, F, T, F, T, F... and continue this pattern. =]
    With a pencil or pen.
I guess you'd better read up then. Just answer with what you think is correct. You have a 50/50 chance of being right.
Best get that book open and study, study, study!! It's called cramming, and I did it, too.
    thats a good question
Believe it or not, the myth that your first gut instinct is more likely to be correct is false. There are psychological studies that prove that. The best way to answer true/false questions is to apply your knowledge of the subject as best you can, and continue through the test before coming back to difficult questions, it helps you keep your focus.
Maybe it's just me, but everyone else seems to be missing the obvious: mark True for the statements that are true, and False for the one's that aren't.

After all, do you not know the material? If you do, this is exceedingly easy (see sentence 2, above).

If you don't know the material, then the other responses are just tips for applying trickery and you might just as well be blindly guessing.

If you're studying business law, you've got a number of years education behind you and you certainly know how to take a test - any test.
If you're not sure of the answer, make an educated guess.

Also, trust your instincts. Your first instinct is usually the best answer.
you should have .done your home work. answer only the question you are sure
*Before you even look at the test, jot down on the back memory devices and facts you are afraid of forgetting.

2 true false question about geometry they stumped me how about you!?

#1. true or false,a plane and space have the same dimensions.

#2. true or false, according to the definition of parallel in euclidean geomemtry, every line is parallel to itself.2 true false question about geometry they stumped me how about you!?
#1 is false, because plane is 2 dimentional where as the space is omnidimentional. We can only say that space includes line, plane, volume.

#2 is true. Every line is parallel to itself because parallel lines can coinside with one another or it can be colinear. but, lines that are not parellel can only intersect at a point.2 true false question about geometry they stumped me how about you!?
    1. I'm not sure what you mean by ';same dimensions.';

    2. If parallel requires that two lines don't intersect, then a line isn't parallel to itself.
#1 should be false.. plane is only two dimensional, space is three dimensional.. in order to get the length of a certain in plane the equation is d =sqrt(x^2 + y^2) while in space d = sqrt(x^2 + y^2 + z^2)

    #2 true.
    # 1 false, a plane has only two dimensions, and a space can have many dimensions.

    # 2 is false - in Euclidean geometry, two lines are parallel if they never intersect. A line can not be parallel with itself, because it intersects an infinite number of times.

True or False? If you want to get a lot of answers to a question just begin it with the word ATHEISTS?

True or False, there must be lots more atheists than any other ';religion'; on R%26amp;S. *I know it is not really a religion but I just heard it called that on here, thought it was interesting to do so.True or False? If you want to get a lot of answers to a question just begin it with the word ATHEISTS?
Atheism is a religion. It makes statements about origins, destinations, and God.True or False? If you want to get a lot of answers to a question just begin it with the word ATHEISTS?
The reason for ';atheist'; being used so frequently is really more to do with the fact that christians know that if they want Intelligent and honest answers they are the people they need to ask!!

But you are also correct that atheists are far more numerous on here. Add christians and muslims together and they amount to just under a third of the world population the majority of the rest is made up of atheists and religions without gods!! So they are in the majority here!!!
Very true actually...but over time I've noticed that it depends on the time of day, sometimes at night there are more Atheists on here than Christians and sometimes at day there are more Christians on here than Atheists.
Completely true. In fact, you could end it with the word atheists, too... that's really the only reason I answered this one.
Partially true. I think the best is to ask an actual good question.
I've found that if you start your question out with: Christians only! or, Jehovah's Witnesses only! then all the atheists and non believers will come out of the wood work.
And you'll get even more if you misspell it.
    You'll get more answers from us if you start your question with, ';Christians only!';
Tiki God wants to watch you burn
One thing is for sure, if you address the question to atheists you will get some intelligent answers.
yeah they come here in droves cuz their master satan loves it.

    A. true

    B. falseTRUE/FALSE Question dealing with Math and Shapes?
    ';19. It is possible for diagonals of a quadrilateral to bisect each other without being a parallelogram';

False. Consider that the diagonals of a quadrilateral divide it into four triangles. Let ACB and DCE be two of these triangles on opposite sides of the quadrilateral, where A, B, D, and E are vertices of the quadrilateral such that A is opposite D and B is opposite E, and C is the intersection of the diagonals. Note that by our assumption that the diagonals bisect each other, AC≡DC and BC≡EC. Note also that ∠ACB and ∠DCE are vertical angles, thus ∠ACB≡∠DCE. Therefore, by SAS, ACB≡DCE, and AB≡DE. This works regardless of which pair of sides we choose, so by the same logic, AE≡BD. Therefore, if the diagonals of a quadrilateral bisect each other, then both pairs of opposing sides have the same length, from which it follows immediately that your quadrilateral is a parallelogram.

    ';20. It is possible for a quadrilateral to have perpendicular diagonals without being a rhombus.';

True. For instance, consider the diamond formed by connecting the endpoints of the Christian cross. This quadrilateral has perpendicular diagonals, and is most definitely not a rhombus.

By the way, this example isn't meant to signify anything religous - it simply happens to be the easiest way to get across the shape I'm referring to without resorting to ASCII art (which I suck at).

    ';21. It is possible for a quadrilateral to have one pair of opposite angles congruent without being a parallelogram.';

True, and the counterexample is the same shape from the last question - the left and right angle are congruent, and the shape is not a parallelogram.

    ';22. A rhombus with congruent diagonals is a square.';

True. Consider that by the law of cosines, D²=2S² - 2S² cos θ, where D is the diagonal, S is the length of any side (in a rhombus they're all the same length), and θ is the angle opposite the diagonal. Note that if one diagonal is determined by one angle, then the other diagonal is given by either of the adjacent angles. In a parallelogram (which all rhombuses are), adjacent angles are supplementary, which means that for the two diagonals to be equal in length, cos θ must equal cos (180°-θ). This is only possible (for angles in the range 0%26gt;θ%26gt;180°) if θ=180°-θ, which means θ=90°, 180°-θ (i.e. the other pair of angles)=90°, and you've got yourself a square.

    ';23. A median of a trapezoid is perpendicular to the bases.';

False. A median of a trapezoid is parallel to the bases, by definition.

    ';24. If the diagonals of a trapezoid are congruent, then the trapezoid is isosceles.';

True. Let b be the length of the base, h be the height, x₁ be the horizontal distance from the lower-left vertex to the point on the base directly beneath the upper-right, and x₂ be the horizontal distance from the lower-right vertex to the point on the base directly below the upper-left. It follows that the slope of the left side is (b-x₁)/h and the slope of the right side is -(b-x₂)/h, and since the angles are being measured in oppoite directions from the base, it follows that the two angles are equal if and only if the slope of one is equal to the negative slope of the other, which means that they are equal if x₁=x₂. Now, one diagonal is the hypotenuse of the right triangle fromed by the lower-left vertex, the upper-right vertex, and the endpoint of x₁, and the other by the lower-right, upper-left, and endpoint of x₂. It follows then that the diagonal legth is d₁²=h²+x₁², and d₂²=h²+x₂². Thus, x₁=√(d₁²-h²) and x₂=√(d₂²-h²). But if the diagonals are equal, d₁=d₂, thus x₁=x₂, the lower-left angle is the same as the lower-right angle, and the trapezoid is isoceles.TRUE/FALSE Question dealing with Math and Shapes?

';The Bell Curve'; by Richard J. Herrnstein and Charles Murray
    ';The Bell Curve is a controversial, best-selling 1994 book by the late Harvard professor Richard J. Herrnstein and American Enterprise Institute political pundit Charles Murray. Its central point is that the intelligent and their children (the ';cognitive elite';) are affluent due largely to an innate genetic and intellectual superiority to the non-intelligent. Also, the book argued that psychometric intelligence is inversely correlated with human misery. The book had the potential for offending the majority of the U.S. population in that it constitutes a defense of plutocracy and inequality due to race, and it became widely read and debated, especially Chapters 13 and 14, where the authors state that blacks and Hispanics have a lower mean intelligence than whites and Asians due to genetic factors.';

TRUE or FALSE question. Only for the smart intelligent or wise?

Life would be worse if the good times went by slow while the bad times went by fast?

    TRUE or FALSE.

';Because time flies while your having fun'; so what would it be like if time flew while you were down (the opposite)?TRUE or FALSE question. Only for the smart intelligent or wise?
    True

if every good moment went by slowly, it would be harder to appreciate and fully understand them

if every bad moment flew by, it would be difficult to really learn and understand the bad times

and sometimes, just knowing that time went by while you were having fun or being productive makes life better because you were absorbed in what you were doing, appreciating it for what it was worth, and acknowleding time well spent.

speaking of time well spent i'm getting off of the computer to do something productive, maybe you should too.TRUE or FALSE question. Only for the smart intelligent or wise?
Live would be worse if the good times went by slowly (not slow) and the bad times went by fast (or quickly, if parallelism is observed) is a statement not a question, yes? But ';smart, intelligent, or wise'; does not seem significantly to affect such speed or lack thereof.
FALSE. I agree somewhat with Ravencalls. Time does not really 'move' anywhere. People just believe it to be a tangible thing because we made it to be that way. How do you know that we are all not living each day over and over, kind of like the ';50 First Dates'; idea. If we don't learn our lesson in the space God made between the light (day) and the dark (night), then we do it again until we get right. Once we do, we advance to the next lesson. After a while, you get to experience a different level too. Just like in a video game. Good question.
True, but in the end you may have had such a carefree life that you learned nothing, causing it to turn false. I think we'll never know for sure what would happen.
False. You can still learn from your bad times even if they go by ';fast';. Just like you can still enjoy your good times now even though they go by fast. x is to y as y is to x as ok I admit i'm bad at math...
I believe that you need to experience the bad times in order to appreciate the good times.
Einstein said something to the effect that a minute sitting on a hot stove passed more slowly than a hour with a pretty woman. I know I'd prefer the latter.
    False. Not all children get old fashion wuppins, so if a child were good most of the time...being bad every now and then wouldn't be so bad because a wuppin doesn't last as long as days and weeks of being ';good';
Actually 'time flies' when you're interested, ... fun or not.

Ever notice how an accident seems to take forever?
that's a weird question since time go by at thr same rate no matter your mood. But if I had to choose I'd agree with having the good times go by slowly and rough times being sped up.

The question is false what makes it right? accounting question only 1?

    add ';current'; -

receivables turnover, inventory turnover, and CURRENT asset turnover are all common measures of liquidity. The question is false what makes it right? accounting question only 1?
If you give some thought it would seem self evident. First receivables is a measure of short cash flow, inventory turnover is the rate in which your inventory sells. Both are short term assets and measures of how liquid the business is in its operations. Asset turn on the other hand is by definition is a long term measure. Assets are usually composed of property, plant and equipment. These items are needed for the production process and are not ordinarily liquidated unless the business is liquidating and therefore not a measure of liquidity.
You don't generally turn over ALL assets... fixed assets like property, plant, and equipment aren't very liquid since they'd take more time to sell.

    True

http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/The_Great_G鈥?/a>True/False Question about The Great Gatsby?
I'd say it's false. I mean, chasity, abstinence, liberality, diligence (only in Jay going after Daisy), Patience, Kindness (Nick was kind but he was about the only one), and humility. Although they should have had humility they didn't. At the end, Nick was the only one who cared about Jay. Maybe Nick fits all these virtues. I'm not sure since it's been a while since I read it. But I still say it's false because there was just too much selfishness in this book. Too many people wanting to hurt the other person ... too much cheating and too much greed. But like I said, it's been a long time since I read the book but it's a great one. If anyone had all these Cardinal Virtues, it would be Nick.

Look into it more and don't just go on my word. I just think that saying it's true is just too much. I don't think it can be true.

  • Parents - a true or false question?

Older %26amp; wiser than we are, our parents will always act in our best interests and should be obeyed. True or false %26amp; why?Parents - a true or false question?
In general that's true, but like anything else there can be exceptions.Parents - a true or false question?
False, parents more or less act in our best interest, whether it's what would REALLY be good for us or not. Most parents do try to make the best decisions for their kids, but there are going to be ones that don't. As well, keep in mind that your parents are only human and DON'T know everything, so what they think maybe best might actually be bad for you.

However, what I've learned is that my parents are older and wiser than me, and as much as I hate to admit it sometimes, their advice are generally good.
Unfortunately, there are people who become parents that do not have the best interest of their children at heart.

Generally speaking though, unless a parent tries to do something or tries to get the child to do something that is illegal or immoral, they should be obeyed,
False. Some of today's parents do not take care of their children the way they should because they are not even looking at things in their own best interests. Giving their kids alcohol and drugs.Allowing sex before marriage. You should listen to your parents ONLY if it does not go against the bible. God comes before anyone.
Where did you find these PERFECT PARENTS? Mine were not that way, neither did they get wiser as they got older. Should I obey a mother who dumped me on my

grandmother? and a father who was a drunk and tried to kill us several times?

Your question is a fantasy and has no meaning in real life.
    False.

';For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God';...that includes parents.

The question is actually double-barrelled...it is definitely false that our parents will ALWAYS act in our best interests...but we should definitely obey them while we are obligated to do so (e.g., until we are independent adults), UNLESS they tell us to do something that is against the law (the law of the land or God's law).

    Always? No............

Some parents are not 'good' parents. Some are selfish beyond our imaginations. Sadly, abuse and misuse of children does happen. This is not the norm, but it does rule out ';always';.

    For most, it is true.
When you're a kid then yes.

The only time you shouldn't is when they ask you to do something that you believe to be wrong. Or when you're 18 that works too.
Not all Parents are loving and wise. But most love unconditionally.

A loving parent has no choice but to love the child. The child must grow to love the Parent.
False. Being old does not necessarily make you wise. My dad is very stupid and immature. The reason he still doesn't have a job.
True. Read Ephesian 18 i think it is. You should always obey your mother and father.

Furthermore, aren't the local court rules for each specific court? Meaning that bankruptcy court 'A' could have different local rules that bankruptcy court 'B'?

TIAAnother True or False Question concerning bankruptcy law?
each court can make their own rules as long as they don't overstep the federal courts. so the answer cannot be true or false - it's a grey area question, rather then one of black and white.

so: ';Local rules issued by individual bankruptcy courts represent the supreme authority for practice and procedure before each bankruptcy court.'; yes - as long as they don't overstep the federal law.Another True or False Question concerning bankruptcy law?

True of false, physics question please help?

In a circuit, two identical resistances are connected, first in series and then in parallel. The circuit will draw greater current in the first case.True of false, physics question please help?
    False.

When two resistors are added in serial, the resistance of the circuit is the sum of the resistances of the two resistors.

    Rtotal = R1 + R2

For parallel resistors, the resistance is:

    1/Rtotal = 1/R1 + 1/R2

Yo what's up my man, look at the x right there, can you see it? yes, ok great. I'm glad you're understanding, this makes me feel proud.

Now the next step is x plus 2 divided by x and 2 minus 9 x that means something could be zero who knows beats me, plus 14, there we are as easy as it gets, ain't I a genious or what, man sometimes I amaze myself. (Sighing in relief).

Please help..quick Civil War true or false question?

The invetiuon of the cotton gin by Eli Whitney caused the instituion of slavery to dissapear.

True or false. Please help..quick Civil War true or false question?
    false

if anything, the cotton gin enabled the cotton industry, which was largely supported by slave labor, to truly become the leading industry in the American SouthPlease help..quick Civil War true or false question?
False. On a lot of counts. Eli Whitney didn't really invent the cotton gin, which had been around since the 1740s. He did invent a gin that worked on American cotton, but his was inefficient and the wire brush had to be cleaned all the time. Hodgen Holmes invented one that didn't need cleaning, as it used sawteeth.

The cotton gin automated cotton production just enough that more planters wanted to grow it. Before the cotton gin was produced, a slave could only clean seeds out of about a pound of cotton a day. The gin made it possible for a slave to produce about 100 pounds of cotton a day. So more planters went into cotton production and bought slaves.

Most aspects of cotton production, such as planting and picking it, were still very labor intensive, and would be done mostly by hand up until the 1950s. Slaves were seen as the solution to crops that needed lots of labor.

I hope you've been going to class, and paying attention in it. This one is a common-sense type question that I as a history teacher would expect you to know just from reading the question.

True or false question help please?

do you think the type of music you listen to determines your personality?

true or false and why please !

thanks !True or false question help please?
    My first answer is, ';False, your personality determines the type of music you listen to.';

Yet I realize this is NOT always true.

People might listen because of another person who prefers that, or who just doesn't care what is on!

Now, if you are asking, ';Are we influenced by the music we listen to?,'; then my answer is, ';True, but it might influence more what you think, say or do rather than your whole overall personality.'; Yet our whole, overall personality development is influenced and affected by what we think, say %26amp; do.

So, I guess my answer could be True or False. It truly depends on how you are looking at this one.True or false question help please?
I think it is true to a certain extent because it shows what you like and what really cheers you up when you are feeling low and all. Your music choice inadvertently shows what you as a person lean towards, for example, if you like loud music, there are high chances that you will be an extroverted person. This is what I think, it may not be true for some people though, and it's not like extroverted people ONLY listen to loud music, just that they tend to.
I can't say it determines your personality it will affect how you express behave in certain situations. Weird creepy music played at night might make one more excitable and *see* things that exist only in this persons imagination.

Music during church helps set the mood for worship and celebration. Music will lift spirits, console the grieving. give energy to those who are tired, give courage to those who go into battle.

Music doesn't make the person but it can help bring out the best and the worst qualities that are there.
to some degree, but what would you say about people to listen to many different types of music or about people who define music as thunder or a the sound legos make when they snap together. It is all subjective, this can not be objectively answered in a true or false question.
False, your personality determines what type of music you listen to.

I don't know exactly why, but I do know that just because I listen to Rap music doesn't mean I'm going to go out and hate people. I also listen to Country Music and I'm not a depressed person.

That's the best example I can come up with.

    Good luck.
my answer might be a bit biased but i think usually yes

ex. if ur a person who listens to emo music then ur probably emo

another example is that if ur into classical then ur probably a goody 2 shoes (no offense to ppl who r)

but there are many other things to consider
False; it's true only for people that are easily influenced.

Therefore, if an object moves at a steady, unchanged velocity, then there is NO acceleration.

= 1/6False positive and false negative probability question?
This is a conditional probability question, or Boyles Theorem:

You will need to find all intersections, these are elementary events that add up to 1.

Let n represent normal PSA level.

    P(c) = .25 so P(∼c) = .75

    P(n⎮c)=.20

    P(n⎮∼c) = 2/3

Now that is what is given. You what to know given the test is not normal what is the chance a man does not have cancer, or if the test is normal what is the chance he does have cancer.

    a) P( ∼c⎮∼n)

    b) P(c⎮n)

To do thse problems you need to find the intersections first. Sketch two intersecting circles one for n and one for c this will divide the population into the four intersections youwill need.

    P(c∩n) and P(∼c∩∼n) first

Keep in mind conditional prob definition P(n⎮c) = P(c∩n)/P(c)

    P(c∩n) = P(n⎮c)*P(c) = .20*.25 = .05

    P(∼c∩∼n) = P(∼n⎮∼c)*P(∼c) = 2/3*.75 = .5

    To find the P(n): P(n) = P(n∩c)+P(n∩∼c)

This are the sum of two intersections, elementary events, You all ready know two (above) and P(c) = .25

    since

    P(c) = P(c∩n) + P(c∩∼n),

    P(c∩∼n) = .20

You now know three elementary events subtracting the three intersections you know from 1.

    P(∼c∩n)=.25

    P(n) = P(n∩c) + P(n∩∼c)

    a) P( ∼c⎮∼n) = P(∼c∩∼n)/P(∼n) =P(∼c∩∼n)/(P(∼c∩∼n)+P(c∩∼n)) =.5/(.5+.2)=5/7≈.714

    b) P(c⎮n)= P(c∩n)/P(n)= P(c∩n)/(P(c∩n)+P(∼c∩n))=

    .05/(.05+.25)= .05/.3 ≈ .167

  • The question is about false documentation?

If all these illegal immigrants are working ,going to school and owning and renting homes then they have to have illegal documentation, social security numbers, etc.Does this mean that they have stolen identities for these illegal papers? and should they not be arrested for this? The question is about false documentation?
Yes the should be arrested for identity theft, and the employers who knowingly hire them should be arrested and fined heavily. The question is about false documentation?
What part of ';illegal immigrant'; don't you understand? After that EVERYTHING is illegal.
u should arrest Ur president for faking the election. he costs Ur country billions of dollars, and thousands of lifes. the small immigrant costs u nothing, and if then some peanuts and the crimes made to survive are a joke against the crimes of the politicians across the whole world. common guys wake up.

the dumb one searches always for a guilty one. so stop being dumb!

Fake the papers, cuz every paper is a fake!

    by Diogenes
No that is not the case with all of them. You people don't understand you just assume that all people steal identities, and want to take from the Americans. My husband works with his own name, pays taxes with a tax ID in his name. Not everyone goes to the street corner to buy SS cards, the ones that are taking identities should be arrested. But don't throw all of them in that category. Know the facts before you want to put everybody in jail. To own a home like we do and run our own business we didn't have to resort to any of those measures. It really burns me that our daughter has to grow up in a world that is so ignorant and racists. By the way I am an American and I love my country my grandfather, and father both fought for this country, but the way things are going I wonder why they would have fought for this?????
Once succeeded in illegal immigration one must continue illegal acts, i.e., buying selling false I.D, lying, cheating and abusing the system.

I blame the government for the last 20+ years for not dealing with this. There are good and bad immigrants, just as there are good and bad American citizens but since we failed to deal with this for so long we are now paying the price. I wish our representatives would remember they represent 'we the people' but unfortunately 95% of them are self-serving.
Yes, they should be treated like any one else that breaks the law.
    Yes. And swiftly.
nothing is false here . just look at this question again .
DID THEY STEAL YOURS ? then dont worry about it.
yes they should be arrested for being here, and all the other crimes they do.
Why do you think they call them illegal immigrants?
yes....but most just share documentation and most don't want to be citizens just make money and go back and forth to their countries
';they'; may not have stolen the information themselves. There are scumbags who sell identification documents.

Anyone who is in the business of selling or using false identification should be prosecuted unless they are in a witness protection program IMO

We found out about some male using my SS# down in Los Angeles for unemployment benefits. Given that I have a female name, am not of that race and have never worked in SoCal ya think the unemployment office would have caught the fraud. I did and reported it!
Yes, that's exactly what it means, and yes, they should be arrested and deported.
If....it can be shown that illegally obtained documentation is, and can be proved to be identity theft of what ever form. The people who are in possession of said documents and property should be treated as anyone would be treated in this kind of criminal action.
uhhhhh...YEAH!!! Yes they should be arrested as well as the suppliers of the stolen info.THe government should really crack down on both..people like this will do ANYTHING for a buck,%26amp;THEY ARE CRIMINALS!!!!!
Even when there was amnesty, people didn't do the required documentation necessary. There were even people to help these affected people with the paperwork.Cultural differences I guess. I don't get it. There are other Hispanics who immigrated legally to the United States don't get it either. Any ideas?
If they are in America and impersonating Americans, then let them serve hard time, as any law-breaking, identity thieving citizen would do, for violating the law.

Let them serve time in prison and cause that they be in a work force (prison work) to earn money which is sent to their victims. After their victims are paid back, let them earn the money to pay for their deportation!
What happened to your great and welcoming shores???

Is this the great and compassionate and democratic America, that the world believes in ??

They are compelled to become ';illegals';,

because the system is so harsh and lacking in compassion to immigrants now,

Just try to imagine how you would act, if god forbid you should find yourself, homeless and hungry in a hostile land .

That you thought would be a good place, to raise your family in peace and safety,.

Shame on you, for not caring, for those who come to your doors for help

They are compelled to falsify papers, to get work ,buy food and rear their families. ( you have made them criminals

You may need to reach in to your vast pockets, for a bit ,

But ,it will come back to you 100 %, in productivity and loyal citizenship.

and cynically ';cannon fodder '; if you want troops to send to war .

Don't criminalize, these vulnerable people , give them a chance to be proud, of citizenship of the U S A .
That is exactly what it is and our government is too chicken to do anything about it. They are playing the politically correctness BS here and being double standard. If it was you or me doing that we'd be in jail so quick.

    DEPORT ILLEGAL ALIENS

    ENGLISH ONLY IN AMERICA
yes try doing that as an american and you will share a cell with others but them they get to go home and sneak back in a year or so.
Some are stolen and some are just plain fake but they should either be in jail, sent back where they came from, or shot!
Yes. And forgive me if I may sound too bold, but my feeling, and that is mine alone, is that the Authorities know where the illegals go get their documents ';fixed';. The employers need to be heavily fined for this, stores that do this kind of thing need to be closed. . .

Personally, I am against illegal immigration because it is just that: Not legal. Besides, there are employers who abuse of these people's basic rights when they come to this country with a promise of a better life. Therefore, the guest worker program, well placed will give the opportunity for those who legitimately want to work, and grant them those basic worker rights. . . whereas the illegal worker has none whatsoever.
I worked for the Texas Department of Human Services for 13 year dealing with illegals and they have numerous ways of ';becoming legal'. iN some cases they steal identities or assume those of dead people, some buy fake documents and some employers even provide them with a fake social security card or documents. In Texas and many other states illegals can obtain a drivers license, Sometimes they use the s.s. number of one of their children born in the USA who we provide with food stamps and medicaid. Sometimes they just make up numbers which happen to be someone elses

I argued the same thing every day, but we were not allowed to report the illegals.
There are people who will employ and rent without documentation.
i have my papers but am just saying the truth why do you people be hatting on illegals? dont yall eat!!? most fruits and vegetables are planted and sold by illegals.did yall know that half of the stuff yall buy has something to do with mexico cuz most of the stuff yall people have in your homes are made by illegals like LETS SEE!!!!!!:HOUSES,SOME FURNITURE,FOOD IS HAND PICKED BY IMMIGRANTSWHAT ELSE...ALMOST EVERY THING !!!!!!!!!!!!IMMIGRANTS DO MORE THAN MOST OF YALL DO!and they still get payed less!!so yall should be happy!OH! AND ONE LAST THING!quit sayen that immigrants stold yall's jobs cuz thats one of the MOST STUPID **** that been said cuzz before nobody wanted to do those jobs!!and then all of a sudden when illegals start getting jobs yall started saying that they stold your jobs !!Well NOBODYS STOPPING U IF YOU WANT TO GO WORK DOING WHAT IMMIGRANTS BE MY GUEST!!!LETS SEE IF U CAN HANDLE BEEING UNDER THE SUN 24/7 AND STILL NOT GET PAYED WHAT U DESERVE!!!
