Question about applying false eyelashes?

I am wearing some false eyelashes for Halloween, and the directions say to apply after all other eye makeup is on. Wouldn't any shadow cause the glue to not stick? I'm thinking its better to apply so the glue will be against clean skin, for a better adhesion. Give me some pointers, girls---I don't want these things falling off in the middle of a party. you are gonna want to put the lashes on after u apply your makeup espacially if you are wearing eyeliner. if these fake eyelashes are self adhesive and do not include glue they will not stay on no matter what u do, u need to get some glue ONLY USE DUO brand or one that says it is a latex glue. but in order to apply them properly first shape them over your finger to give them a slight curve since when u remove them they will be pretty straight and your eyelid is slightly curved. then put a bit of glue on a clean surface and either use a toothpick or something by dipping in the glue and placing on the base of the eyelashes allow to set 4 about 20 seconds then place on eyelid start at the outer corner and work your way insince u do not want to find after u have applied them that they are hanging too far off the end. hold from the lashes and apply base as close to the base of your natural lashes as possible allow to dry w/ eye closed for about 40 seconds then do other eye when both are dry you can apply mascara if you want as well.
I've always put them on before the other eyemakeup. Also, if you're using a stick eyeliner instead of liquid (which I would suggest if you're putting on false lashes), go buy some white cream eyeshadow to put on before the liner. The pencil liner will just glide on and you won't have to make more than a couple of passes for it to be thick enough to buff and blend.
Iv use false ones before and i read the packet and mine said the same as yours. So i followed it but they just kept falling of so yeah i would try and do it first when youve not done any makeup. :)
