An unprepared student takes a three-question, tru/false quiz in which he guesses the answers to all three ques

a. The student gets all three answers wrong.

b. The student gets exactly two answers correct.

c. The student gets only the first answer correct. An unprepared student takes a three-question, tru/false quiz in which he guesses the answers to all three ques
Probability of getting each question right is 0.5

a) 0.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.125 = 1/8

only 1 possible combination w,w,w

b)

Three possible combinations:

right, right, wrong

r,w,r

w,r,r

Each one has probability of 0.125 (see answer A)

therefore answer = 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 0.375 = 3/8

c) 0.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.125 = 1/8

only one possible combination r,w,wAn unprepared student takes a three-question, tru/false quiz in which he guesses the answers to all three ques
a. The student gets all three answers wrong.

1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/8

b. The student gets exactly two answers correct.

1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/8 (if he gets #1 right)

1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/8 (if he gets #2 right)

1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/8 (if he gets #3 right)

1/8 + 1/8 + 1/8 = 3/8

c. The student gets only the first answer correct.

1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/8

Theres no way to tell a person unprepared would either pick all true or all false because they have no idea. Its the only logical thing to do. No way you can tell tho
what exactly is your question?

(with my luck id probably be student c.....)
contestant- what is b.

host- is that your final answer

contestant- yes

host- im sorry you just lost you chance at the 10,000 dollar daily double

contestant- you suck
A is the only sentence in which the grammar is correct.
I had an uncle who missed all five questions on a true/false test. Teacher: You could guess better than that! Student: I was guessing!
D Gets all three right.
