AP Stats: Difficult True False Question. Can anyone show me how they would solve this problem below?

Given the data:

Price (x) .... | 30 | 20 | 23 | 25 | 24 | 33 | 31 | 27 | 32

Demand (y) | 23 | 55 | 47 | 45 | 40 | 30 | 42 | 59 | 32

True or false: We would reject the null hypothesis, H[sub]0 : p = 0, at the a = 0.05 level of significance.AP Stats: Difficult True False Question. Can anyone show me how they would solve this problem below?
True. We get a t-statistic of -2.465, which has a p-value of .04316 %26lt; .05, so we reject the null hypothesis.

(GRETL is a neat, simple open source statistics and regression program. You can get it here: http://gretl.sourceforge.net/)

If you had to solve the problem on a test, you would find the correlation (by pencil and paper, or on your calculator,) and compare it with the 5%(two-sided) critical value for a t distribution with 7 (n-2) degrees of freedom.AP Stats: Difficult True False Question. Ok this is easy, we can do this ok check it out here I come, ready? good, ok whenever you're ready I'll start, mmm let's see, I know this, enough here we go, on your marks, get set, go.

Ok basically what you need to here is, in this case, if we have the following fraction and the values for x must be excluded, gee you must tired of waiting for the answer, ok we can nail this, this is a piece of cake. Yo what's up my man, look at the x right there, can you see it? yes, ok great. I'm glad you're understanding, this makes me feel proud.

Now the next step is x plus 2 divided by x and 2 minus 9 x that means something could be zero who knows beats me, plus 14, there we are as easy as it gets, ain't I a genious or what, man sometimes I amaze myself. (Sighing in relief).
